Julie Hascoët (b. 1989) is a french photographer and visual artist.
She graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure de la Photographie (ENSP – Arles) in 2012 after studying visual arts.
Her work considers photography in a larger context, as part of installations and through printed matter and self-publishing. Her personal interests revolve around the themes of dereliction and ruins, metamorphosis and nomadism, in a broader context of a territory and architecture-related research. In her practice, photography is seen as a material conducive to re-composition and integrates into a work of installation, or publishing.
She is also founder of Zines of the Zone, a traveling platform dedicated to self-published photozines and photobooks, organizing DIY and lo-fi related events, zine-exhibitions, talks and concerts.
She joined Agence MYOP in 2019.
